Welcome
Whilst sitting in a Church one day I became aware of visitors who would come in, sit for a while and then leave. It struck me that the visitors may not necessarily have a belief in God but may be seeking a place of solitude and peace. Not everyone who enters a Church is a believer and yet some conclude that there is a beauty to be found in the sacred space. Perhaps it is the beauty of the architecture or the absence of sound. As I sat in the Church, I said a prayer of thanksgiving for these sacred spaces and I took a look around the Church before leaving. As I journeyed through the rest of the day, a thought settled within me: to compose a piano reflection for each part of a Church. I pray that these piano reflections may provide you with solitude and peace.
